I believe it is important in this industry to always be learning and growing as an artist and as a person. Part of doing that is challenging yourself to be the best you can be. I have found that print competitions are one of the best ways to continue learning and improving your craft. I started by competing in local PPA affiliate print competitions in 2011 and over the years I have grown considerably and now compete at the local, state, district, and international levels.
I have earned my Master of Photography (M.Photog.) and Photographic Craftsman (Photog.Cr.) degrees, as well as my Certified Professional Photographer (CPP) designation with the Professional Photographers of America. I am also a Master of Animal Imagery with Animal Image Makers (AIM). I am a 2022 Grand Imaging Award Top Ten Finalist, Imaging Excellence Award recipient, and a 6 time Medalist in the Professional Photographers of America's International Print Competition.
