The Next Chapter: Green Paws is Moving to Roseville, California
There are moments in life that feel like a turning point. A time to close one chapter and begin anew. This is one of those times.
My studio is in the process of relocating from Texas to California. While this is a new chapter, in many ways, it is also a continuation of a journey that began years ago.
This business was first built in Southern California. I moved there from Canada in 2009, and the following year chose to pursue photography more seriously, beginning the foundation of what this work would become.
This is not the first time the studio has entered a new chapter. After its Southern California beginnings, I started again in Houston in 2015 with a focus on studio work, and later in Austin in 2019 with a more refined style, an Eco-conscious direction, and a new name.
Now, the next evolution of that journey brings the studio back to California.

Why Roseville
Northern California offers easy access to open space, the Sierra Nevada foothills, and the surrounding region. It’s a place where people spend time with their dogs in a more connected, intentional way. That kind of dedication to our companion animals is what my work has always been about capturing.
The Sacramento area, and Roseville in particular, offers a balance that closely aligns with how I want to live and work. It’s a place where dogs are not an afterthought, but part of daily life and family. It also aligns naturally with something that has become increasingly important in my work: sustainability.
After much research and consideration, I chose Roseville for this next chapter for various professional and personal reasons, with the intention of building a life and studio that feel more balanced, intentional, and sustainable.

The End of an Era… After 7.5 years and nearly 500 dogs photographed in my Leander home studio, the space is empty and Green Paws is moving on to a new chapter and a new studio space.
A Natural Alignment with My Values
From the beginning, this studio has been guided by a commitment to thoughtful, responsible choices. From the materials I select to the products I offer, I have therefore prioritized Eco-conscious, cruelty-free options.
California supports and reflects those values in a way that feels genuinely aligned. It allows me to continue building a business that not only creates meaningful artwork, but does so with care for the broader impact behind it.
What This Means for the Studio
The core of my work remains unchanged.
I will continue creating refined, expressive portraits that honor the importance of dogs to the people who love them. That intention carries forward, regardless of where the studio is based.
What will evolve is the space itself. The new studio space will support a more focused, elevated experience from start to finish.
A Limited Introductory Offering
As I make the move and set up the studio space, with a planned relaunch in late summer or early fall 2026, I will be opening a small number of introductory sessions.
These are not standard bookings. They are part of a deliberate beginning. A way to create the foundational work for this new chapter with a select group of clients that want to participate in its founding.
Those chosen will receive a custom portrait session along with a matted fine art print, included on a complimentary basis as part of this introductory offering.
If you are local to the Roseville or the greater Sacramento area, I invite you to join the list below to be considered. All those on the list will be the first contacted when booking opens.

Looking Ahead
Green Paws brings over 15 years’ experience to creating timeless, expressive portraits that capture the personality and uniqueness of each dog. The work has always been about more than photography; it’s about creating something lasting, something that honors dogs as family. I’m looking forward to bringing that work to the Roseville and Sacramento area.
